Introduction

It is from India that I write these introductory lines to a simple and illustrious story – a story in which I will attempt to demonstrate a profound truth. This is the 6th time I have been in India, and I have traveled about 45 countries in Europe, Africa, the America and Asia to spread the Message of Christ.

Jesus is the Way to reach God. Not only is He the Way, but He is also the Destination, for He is God Himself.

The story of The Great King and the Little Ant has its origin in the author’s attempt to illustrate how hopelessly impossible it is for little insignificant humans like us to ever find God by our efforts and religion and good works and sacrifices. It is only when God Himself makes the effort to reach out to us that we find Him, or rather, that He finds us.
In this story, the Great King symbolizes God, and we are the ant.

I have purposely written in simple, almost childlike language to make this message clear. I trust that this simple story will be both amusing and informative: God can be found, because He found us.

Yours,
Joel Hitchcock
